Applications, Testbeds, and Simulation Design for Molecular Communication (ATSDMC ‘20)

Call for Papers

In the last decade, many studies have been conducted over the theoretical analysis of various molecular communication (MC) systems such as channel modeling, capacity estimation, modulation design, and transmitter – receiver design. Although there are still many open issues on these topics, these theoretical works have laid ground for the so-called physical layer of MC. Using these physical layer structures, general and application-specific testbeds have started to be developed which are expected to greatly expedite the development of end-to-end applications using MC solutions as intermediary communication systems. Moreover, highly detailed and inclusive simulation tools are started to be developed which will enable both theoretical and practical studies on more complex MC channels and systems.

This BICT 2020 workshop aims to provide a venue for researchers and industry to present their recent works on simulation design efforts and simulators, testbeds, application design/architecture, and application field trials for various MC systems such as MC with diffusion and calcium signaling.

Authors of selected workshop papers will be invited to submit an extended version to IEEE Transactions on Molecular, Biological, and Multi-scale Communications (TMBMC).
